Description
Move your metrics 5 years ahead of current industry practices. Maximize R&D effectiveness, productivity, and output. This Summit provides participants with a comprehensive review of the evolution, current status, and projected future of R&D and Product Development Metrics as corporate officers view them from the top of corporations. The focus is on metrics for the VP & CTO-level, functional and technical disciplines, development portfolios, development projects, and advanced development. During the first two seminars of the Summit, we will discuss the Body of Knowledge of R&D and Product Development Metrics. The first seminar focuses on hard to quantify, but strategic areas, where senior managers have to make decisions that have lasting impacts. The second seminar focuses on measures and metrics that improve the ability to forsee the outcomes of R&D investments that are still in development. During the third and final seminar of the Summit, participants will organize in a workshop setting to create a "set of metrics" suitable for driving performance in R&D and/or Product Development organizations as a whole -- based on the commonality of their R&D strategies. Is your company an innovator, a platform-derivative, a balanced portfolio, or a follower-extender? New material will be intersperced throughout the workshop: advanced development, intellectual property, and functional-technical competency.

Our overall approach to the Summit is geared to top-level professionals that manage entire organizations, departments, and budgets; and to senior program management executives and technical staff. Numerous companies have brought teams of officers ranging from three to ten in size in the quest to develop a common set of metrics across their R&D and product development organizations. A list of companies that have attended and numerous written testimonial comments from participants are available for consideration.
