Fall in industrial production that was experienced in the region in 2014 was in part due to shutdowns within the oil and gas industry. The 5th edition of Plant Shutdown and Turnaround Forum happening in Doha, Qatar between 24 - 26 November 2015 will focus not only on the latest technologies but also on scheduling and planning to execute safe and cost efficient shutdowns and turnarounds. The event last year was held under the patronage of H.E Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy & Industry and Chairman of Qatar Petroleum and was officially supported by Qatar Petroleum. Major highlights of the forum are: Keynote sessions : Identifying the need for Planning and preparation to ensure minimal setback, Achieving Model of excellence (MoE) for Turnarounds & Developing a strong Logistics Rapid mobilization Strategy using FIFO capability Focus topic : Schedule Integration - Importance, skills and challenges Panel Discussion : Behavioral Safety Lookout – Pressure, Courage and Interventions Smart Outlook : STO Project Controls – data management & document control for EvPM KPI Monitoring: Turnaround / Shutdown Management with Enterprise Asset Management Managing an effective Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) and blinding tag system Speaking Companies : Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Gas Operating Company, QAFCO, SABIC, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Chevron, Tata Steel International to name a few.
