Until recently, the opportunity to have a celebrity attend an event, attach themselves to a name-brand or endorse a certain product or idea was untouchable. The thought of paying a person to promote a product was seen as something only Fortune 500 companies could afford. Social media has changed all that with brands and businesses utilizing celebrity influencers to connect directly with their demographics and increase sales and profits.
5th BASRAH BUILD EXPO
Under the Five Year National Development Plan, more than 394,4 million dolars has been allocated for housing projects in 2011, in addition to a further 658,1 million dolars for investment projects within the sector. According to the Iraq National Housing Policy, published in October 2010 and supported by the United Nations Human Settlements Program, the estimated number of housing units required than 200,000 units per year for the next ten years. In answer to these estimates, Iraq announced a plan to allocate 2 billion dolars for the construction of housing units for low income households and contracts have already been awarded for the construction of more than 230,000 units. In addition, masterplans for Iraqi cities were outlined inclusive of the Sadr City ‘10x10’ Project and New Basrah City, amongst others.
4th BASRAH BUILDEXPO, opened its doors to its visitors on 22-25 February 2013 in Basrah International Fair Ground. From Najaf, Nasiriyah, Babil and Maysan Hosted Buyers visited the fairground and contacted with participants one by one. Basrah BuildExpo 2013 hosted 104 international companies from 12 different countries including; Turkey, Iraq, Germany, USA, Korea,B.A.E., Finland, New Zealand, Oman, Jordan, Malta, Sweden in an area of 17.000 m² in total. During 4 days 17.500 people in total had the opportunity to visit the fairground. Connections were made during the fair the contracts and jobs showed to all our participants clearly that, Basrah BuildExpo is the most effective platform for them..
