Until recently, the opportunity to have a celebrity attend an event, attach themselves to a name-brand or endorse a certain product or idea was untouchable. The thought of paying a person to promote a product was seen as something only Fortune 500 companies could afford. Social media has changed all that with brands and businesses utilizing celebrity influencers to connect directly with their demographics and increase sales and profits.
AAG 2014 Annual Meeting
The Association of American Geographers Annual Meeting attracts geographers, GIS specialists, environmental scientists, and other industry leaders from around the world. More than 6,000 presentations and posters feature the latest in research and applications in geography, sustainability, and GIScience. The annual meeting also includes a networking reception, workshops, and field trips led by scholars, experts, and researchers. Annual attendance is between 7,500 and 8,000. The exhibit hall including 65+ exhibitors, showcases recent publications, new geographic technologies, and employment opportunities for geographers.
