Health care in the United States – with the intense pressure to improve outcomes, access and affordability – is at the intersection of technological and scientific innovation and increasingly sophisticated and effective managed care tools. This October the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy will showcase new and emerging developments at this “nexus” at AMCP Nexus 2014: Connecting Health Care and Innovation, to be held October 7-10 in Boston, MA.
AMCP Nexus 2014 will focus on four tracks providing extensive programming on Specialty Pharmacy, The Changing Health Care Environment, Current Clinical Concepts, and Research and Evidence in Managed Care. Additionally, the education sessions at AMCP Nexus 2014 will include audience interaction and active learning, ensuring that attendance will be compelling and impactful for all participants.
AMCP Nexus 2014 takes place October 7-10 in Boston, MA and is headlined with pre-conference programming on Specialty Pharmacy, the Fundamentals of Managed Care Pharmacy, and the AMCP Foundation Symposium on "Emerging Trends".
AMCP Nexus 2014 attracts approximately 2,000 attendees who are managed health care professionals interested in increasing their knowledge of the management and coordination of clinical, pharmacy benefit, and pharmaceutical care programs. Those who attend are comprised of practicing pharmacists and other health care practitioners from managed care organizations who are involved in health management and research, outcomes management, and pharmaco-economics; as well as representatives from pharmacy benefit management companies, physicians practicing in managed care, professors of pharmacy studies throughout academia and representatives from the pharmaceutical industry.
