Description
Boutique Design New York (BDNY) is the leading trade fair and conference for the hospitality design industry, serving the eastern United States, Canada and Europe. Presented annually by Boutique Design at NYC’s Javits Center, BDNY brings interior designers, architects, purchasing agents and hospitality owners/developers together with manufacturers and marketers of high-caliber design elements for hospitality interiors. For two high-energy days each November, it’s the creative nexus of hospitality design—a trade fair and conference with boutique DNA and a focus on innovation, culminating with our industry’s most prestigious awards presentation, the Gold Key Awards Gala. All taking place in the cultural capital of the Americas, a perennial hotbed of development activity and design inspiration.
Attendee information
BDNY will introduce you to the hospitality industry’s moguls and mavericks, its rising stars and thought leaders—in CEU-accredited seminars, lively interviews on the exhibit floor and hot-ticket social events held at design-forward venues in Manhattan. Join us this fall and in two fast-track days you’ll glean wisdom from some of the most talented and influential figures in the hospitality realm—many based in the Northeast region. You’ll see inventive new furnishings, lighting and textiles you can’t wait to build a design around. And you’ll experience a broad range of exhibitor products in context, via networking spaces created by leading hospitality design firms exclusively for Boutique Design.
Exhibitor information
Held each November alongside HX: The Hotel Experience at New York’s Javits Center, the BDNY trade fair and conference has charted double-digit growth each year since its inception. For 2015, attendance grew by 16 percent, landing BDNY on Trade Show Executive (TSE) magazine’s annual 50 Fastest-Growing Shows list for the third consecutive year. The draw? BDNY’s elevated atmosphere, focused product selection, extensive conference program and not-so-hurried pace—an environment conducive to meaningful, fruitful conversations with manufacturers, industry visionaries and peers. All taking place in the cultural capital of the Americas, and culminating with our industry’s most prestigious awards gala.

As event professionals, our job is to host people and while we can’t prepare for everything, it’s essential to develop an emergency plan that can be adapted to any situation. In Boston, the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority’s (MCCA) Public Safety Team at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) and the Hynes Convention Center, have taken their experiences to develop a comprehensive crisis management training program, starting with crisis communications.
