WORLD?S THIRD BIGGEST RAILWAY EXHIBITION: EURASIA RAIL07-09 March 2013 in the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM) there was organized the world?s third biggest exhibition in its field, Eurasia Railway, Rolling Stock, Infrastructure and Logistics Exhibition. At the exhibition there were more than 17 thousand professional visitors from 22 countries and 287 exhibitor companies from 25 different countries. At the exhibition TCDD (Turkish State Railways) and its subsidiary corporations including T?VASA? (Turkish Wagon Industry Inc.), T?DEMSA? (Turkish Railway Machines Industry Inc.), and T?LOMSA? (Turkish Locomotive and Engine Industry Inc.) presented innovations related to wagons of the Turkish railways, locomotives, railway technologies produced by the local manufactures within the railway sector. Many industry giants from Turkey and worldwide attended the exhibition including SIEMENS, ALSTOM, BOMBARDIER, VOSSLOH, THALES, CAF, TALGO, KNORR BREMSE, WEBASTO, VOITH TURBO, SAVRONIK, KARDEM?R, GENERAL ELECTRIC TRANSPORTATION, ULA?IM A?, HYUNDAI ROTEM, ABB next to national pavilion participation from Germany, the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Russian Federation, Republic of China and Poland. In comparison with the first edition of the Eurasia Rail Exhibition now the exhibition had increased with 40 % and in this year there were presented 287 companies, among them 117 were Turkish companies and 170 were international companies. Eurasia Rail Exhibition, which is supported by the Turkish Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications and Turkish Railways (TCDD), in June 2012, received the approval of UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry).At the same time in September 2012, the exhibition proved to be on the international market as the first exhibition in Turkey to give financial support to German exhibitors as approved by German government. The fact that during the exhibition there are organized different seminars and conferences with the participation of foreign companies attracted the attention of the world press regarding this field of industry.
Description
The fair intends to bring together the public and private sector for rolling stock, light rail, infrastructure technology and railway logistics. Besides, Eurasia Rail aims to correspond to the demands of international and local buyers and contribute to Turkey based new trading volume.
