With more than 70,000 visitors who entered the exhibition halls from 24 to 26 February, 2017 the organizers of the Hamburg Motorcycle Days recorded a new record, which also reflects the optimism of the two-wheeler industry. For some years now, a cautious upward trend has been seen in the motorcycle sector. New legislation and driving regulations make it easier to get into the two-wheeler world. Motorcycle manufacturers react to current trends with many new models for every taste and purse. Visitors to the exhibition halls in Hamburg were also able to inform themselves about the new bikes of the coming season as well as to marvel at unusual individual mounts. In addition to chrome-flashing choppers, a motorbike literally shattered the other custom bikes. The 4, 8 tons of weighing tank bikes is the most powerful motorcycle in the world and fits only in a few garages. Several times a day the bike builders boosted the tank engine with a displacement of 38,000 cubic centimeters, while providing an impressive face. There were also great motorcycle stunts and lots of live shows from the packed-out supporting program

As event professionals, our job is to host people and while we can’t prepare for everything, it’s essential to develop an emergency plan that can be adapted to any situation. In Boston, the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority’s (MCCA) Public Safety Team at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) and the Hynes Convention Center, have taken their experiences to develop a comprehensive crisis management training program, starting with crisis communications.
