Description
The MVPA’s 42nd annual Convention in 2017 will be held in Cleveland, Ohio at the I-X Center, a former bomber and tank plant. The Ohio Motorpool has worked tirelessly to make this a one-of-a-kind event that promises to be an outstanding and memorable affair on June 21-24, 2017. The swap meet will offer hundreds of vendors, with thousands of parts, paint, canvas, manuals and military memorabilia. War birds and armored vehicle owners are encouraged to bring their “vehicles” for display to make this the largest historic military event in Cleveland’s history. Large military displays are encouraged, so contact MVPA-HQ with the details of yours. Only active MVPA members may display and/or have vehicles judged, so if you have a piece of armor or a thin-skinned historic military vehicle and are not a MVPA member, JOIN US and bring your “baby”. This event is meant to educate the public as well as non-MV owners, and admirers, so the more the merrier Several arranged tours are planned for members and guests including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the USS COD Memorial and International Women’s Air and Space Museum. A very nice dinner cruise is also offered for an evening of dining and sightseeing on Lake Erie. Each of the tours will be very exciting and will sell out, so order your tickets today! Pre-registration is only open to MVPA members and guests, and is highly encouraged for this year’s event (as it is every year) to save you time and money. Onsite registration increases by $5.00 at the door. Registered attendees will be allowed to enter the convention, by their own entrance, beginning on Wednesday (6/21) from noon until 7:00 p.m., and again Thursday (6/22) from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. At 3:00 p.m. Thursday (6/22) the event opens to the public. Parking for the event will be $10 per day on site, however, the MVPA is offering an early 4-day parking pass for only $20. After the event opens to the public there will be no registrations taken by the MVPA, and NO parking passes will be sold on site. At that time everyone who is NOT registered will have to pay and enter as public. To avoid the increase REGISTER NOW!
