Until recently, the opportunity to have a celebrity attend an event, attach themselves to a name-brand or endorse a certain product or idea was untouchable. The thought of paying a person to promote a product was seen as something only Fortune 500 companies could afford. Social media has changed all that with brands and businesses utilizing celebrity influencers to connect directly with their demographics and increase sales and profits.

Playtime Berlin, will open in a few months during the exciting Berlin Fashion Week, and is already being met with great enthusiasm. One question though, has been asked repeatedly and needs to be answered: Why launch that new show, why Berlin and what will make the difference? After analyzing the market, we’ve come to realize that there are still a considerable number of buyers (mainly from Eastern and Northern Europe) who aren’t visiting any of our shows. So when looking at a map of the world, it makes complete sense for Playtime to go to Berlin, a city that is at a geographical crossroads that perfectly serves our purpose! The German professional market consists of a multitude of local events, that make it complicated to work for both brands and agents. And here again, we’ve been met with great interest from several German agents who understand, that one strong event, twice a year, for all buyers, can make their life a lot easier!
