Until recently, the opportunity to have a celebrity attend an event, attach themselves to a name-brand or endorse a certain product or idea was untouchable. The thought of paying a person to promote a product was seen as something only Fortune 500 companies could afford. Social media has changed all that with brands and businesses utilizing celebrity influencers to connect directly with their demographics and increase sales and profits.
South Carolina’s premier educational technology conference promotes the use of educational technology in South Carolina schools. The mission of EdTech is to bring educators, administrators, technology professionals, college faculty and staff, public and academic librarians, business and industry trainers, industry representatives and policy makers together to think, discuss, listen and learn the best strategies to plan for, implement, and use educational technology in our schools.
Over 1,000 K-12 and higher education, teachers, administrators, technology and media specialists, business leaders, legislators, and state and federal government agencies attended SC EdTech in 2013. The exhibit hall is a highly-valued part of the conference. Ample time has been built into the 2014 conference schedule to allow attendees to visit the exhibit hall.
