The thought of paying a person to promote a product was seen as something only Fortune 500 companies could afford. Social media has changed all that with brands and businesses utilizing celebrity influencers to connect directly with their demographics and increase sales and profits.
SMES 2014 - Security Middle East Show
After its remarkable success in 2011, the 3rd version of the Security Middle East (SMES) will take place from 6 - 8 March 2014. SMES is a regional homeland security exhibition and conference that takes place biennially in Beirut, Lebanon; with the support of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) and the Internal Security Forces (ISF). SMES covers internal security, border security, infrastructure and critical structure security, counter terrorism, search and rescue, airport security, public safety, access control systems, information security, fire fighting and safety, hunting gear and CCTV. SMES 2011 was visited by H.E. the President of the Lebanese Republic General Michel Suleiman and the President of the Lebanese Council of Ministers H.E. Mr. Najib Mikati, H.E. the Lebanese Minister of Defense Mr. Fayez Ghoson, LAF Commander General Jean Kahwaji, ISF Director General Maj. Gen. Ashraf Rifi and many other Lebanese political, security and business leaders as well as diplomats. SMES 2011 embraced more than 80 exhibitors representing 180 companies from more than 20 countries, in addition to 10 delegations; more than 10,000 visitors attended the exhibition throughout the 3 days of the event.
