Description

The Source is the South West’s biggest and best show for anyone with a serious interest in speciality foods, quality drinks, profitable catering and inspired hospitality. Taking place at the beginning of February, The Source is perfectly timed for buyers looking to get set for the season ahead. It’s the only show you need to visit as everything a food business needs is here, all under one roof - from raw ingredients to high quality food service products, furniture to EPoS, kitchen design to business services. This ‘must-attend’ show is a unique opportunity not to be missed. Unearth unusual local products with fascinating provenance whilst meeting passionate producers and suppliers face-to-face. Compare products, discover new suppliers, catch up with colleagues, clients and friends, and tap into the latest trends. Visit the Newcomers area, which is dedicated to new companies from the South West that have never exhibited at a trade show before. Find that innovative new product for your discerning customers, and get an edge over your competitors.

The Source is the South West’s biggest and best trade show for the food & drink sector, and it keeps growing year on year. In 2017 there were more exhibitors than ever before, attracting even more visitors than the year before. In 2018 visitors can expect to see over 250 producers, from a wide spectrum of sectors, as well as a superb selection of Taste of the West members.

New to the show this year is Liquid. Liquid offers a focus at the show, for the on-trade and the off-trade, on new and exciting products, techniques, services and trends, as well the chance to network. There will be local, national and international drinks exhibitors throughout the show, showing hot, cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There will be more drinks tastings, brand masterclasses, and the second year of the LWC Cocktail Competition, featuring leading mixologists, and providing entertainment, inspiration and ideas! If you’re looking for inspiration and culinary innovation then the Demo Kitchen will be playing host to a range of renowned chefs, including the winners from the 2017 South West Chef of the Year competition. In the past names such as Bruce Cole, Brett Sutton, Robin Rea, Elly Wentworth and Michael Caines have shown the audience how to use local and seasonal ingredients from the show, and inspired those looking for menu ideas.

As an added bonus the successful and growing Westcountry Tourism Conference will be running alongside the show, with two 1/2 day events bringing together leading tourism businesses and industry experts.

If you are looking for that special ingredient for your menu, that unique product for your shop, or the essential equipment for your kitchen, then this show will both inspire you and help your business grow. Give your business the impetus it needs going into the new season with this huge spread of comparative tastings, networking opportunities and inspirational experiences. The Source trade show will both inspire you and help your business grow.
