Description

The Texas Academy of Family Physicians will host the 65th Annual Session and Scientific Assembly in San Antonio, Texas. Each year 400 primary care physicians and other providers from across the region attend this three-day conference to earn more than 20 credits of continuing medical education, network with peers, and explore the new products and services offered in the ever-changing medical marketplace

 

The Texas Academy of Family Physicians (TAFP) is the medical specialty society for family physicians in Texas. Planning, developing, and presenting high-quality, unbiased, evidence-based continuing medical education (CME) in compliance with the criteria of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) is the fundamental educational goal of the organization.

Each year, TAFP’s five-day Annual Session and Scientific Assembly draws more than 400 primary care physicians from across the region to earn more than 20 credits of continuing medical education, network with peers, and explore the new products and services offered in the ever-changing medical marketplace. As event professionals, our job is to host people and while we can’t prepare for everything, it’s essential to develop an emergency plan that can be adapted to any situation. In Boston, the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority’s (MCCA) Public Safety Team at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) and the Hynes Convention Center, have taken their experiences to develop a comprehensive crisis management training program, starting with crisis communications.
