The Association of Equipment Manufacturers' AG Connect Expo will be held Jan. 19-31, 2013, at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Mo.

At the show, there will be a preview of what’s to come in agriculture in the next several years through new technologies, advanced practices and operating efficiencies that improve quality and yield.

The biennial AG Connect expo was launched last year and is timed on the calendar to not conflict with Agritechnica, the global agriculture trade show in Hanover, Germany, owned by the German Agricultural Society, DLG.

The two trade shows coordinated timing of their dates for the convenience of exhibitors and attendees with global business interests, according to AEM officials.

"Agriculture today is increasingly global, and AG Connect Expo is a global trade show offering industry professionals the best information and the best people possible, without boundaries," said Tim Merrett, vice president region 4 marketing for Deere & Company and AG Connect Expo 2013 chair.

He added, "We have succeeded with this goal and will continue to provide a quality gathering place for sharing global agricultural ideas and management trends."

Since its’ debut, the show has garnered high marks for attendee satisfaction of 92 percent.

To allow as many attendees as possible to come to the show, AEM will rotate the show to different locales at least for the next few cycles, according to AEM show officials.

The show itself is overseen by a show management committee of equipment manufacturers and other key agribusiness companies, which ensures that industry needs are met.

"This is a major advantage for AG Connect attendees and exhibitors who are looking for a maximum return on investment for their show participation," Merrett said.

According to AEM officials, here are some of the advantages of attending AG Connect:

• Personal access to exhibiting company executives in booths
• One-on-one dialogue with technical experts/engineers in booths
• Experts delivering high-caliber education on the most pressing issues in agriculture
• A glimpse into the future through executive insights, new technologies
• A professional-grade trade show environment
• A modest registration fee to ensure quality interaction among industry professionals.
