Las Vegas-based ConvExx Acquires Mobile Tech Expo

ConvExx, long-time show management company in the auto aftermarket space, has acquired Mobile Tech Expo from Kevin Halewood.

"Mobile Tech Expo is the premier showcase for the paintless dent repair, detailing and automotive mobile service industries, and we look forward to continuing that mission", said Chuck Schwartz, ConvExx CEO.

He added, "We understand and appreciate the Show's principles, and look to build upon what has been built as we strive to best serve the mobile automotive aftermarket."

Its founder, Kevin Halewood, will remain with ConvExx and continue as show director of Mobile Tech Expo. 

The 17-year- old trade show currently is held annually in Orlando. The 2018 Mobile Tech Expo is scheduled Jan. 26-28, at the Caribe Royale. 

"I am truly excited about the future of Mobile Tech Expo," Halewood said. 

He added, "Building this event to its current height has been my life for the past 18 years, and I look forward to the future. With the resources and experience of ConvExx, we will now be able to deliver even more value and opportunity than ever before and ultimately help the industry I care so deeply for, and grow it even more."

ConvExx also will publish newsletters, Mobile Tech News and Detailers Digest. The publications feature industry news and new products and services, as well as provide show information to Mobile Tech Expo attendees and exhibitors. 

ConvExx is an independent show management company headquartered in Las Vegas and has produced shows across the U.S. and overseas.

The ConvExx team has more than 40 years of trade show experience. Members of the team produced the SEMA Show for 32 years, as well as developed Auto Internacional, along with automotive events in the performance, truck, off-road, import and accessories markets. 

They now produce the SHOT Show, for the National Shooting Sports Foudation, and Las Vegas BikeFest, a consumer motorcycle event.
