Tarsus Advon, the division of Tarsus Group plc that manages the MTO Summit, a technology conference for meeting industry professionals and MeetingTechOnline, a digital resource for event industry technology, announced the recipients of the MTO Tech Awards this morning.
Five winners were announced on the final day of the MTO Summit, which was held Nov. 9-10 in Washington, D.C.:
The winner in the "Best Attendee Experience" category was QuickMobile, a Vancouver, B.C.-based mobile solutions provider. The company was recognized for their QuickStart PlatformTM that enables event organizers to speed up the development of their mobile applications and offers CMS, ecommerce, analytics, advertising and real-time update capabilities.
The winner in the "Best in Marketing and Communication" category was Fixation Marketing based in Bethesda, Md. Fixation Marketing's 2010 BIO International Convention Digital Directory and Buyers' Guide included features such as "digital paper," "shake" (wiggle) technology that displays menu options, and an on screen drag and drop reader response card.
The winner in the "Best in Networking and Community" category was mingle360 of Fairfax, Va. Its MingleStick product, a small handheld device the size of a keychain, allows event attendees to wirelessly exchange contact information. The MingleStation is a passive lead retrieval system that provides exhibitors with facial recognition and document sharing capabilities.
The winner in the "Best in Analytics and Measurement" category was Austin, Texas-based Alliance Tech for it's RFID offering, "Intelligent EXHIBITOR," that provides show organizers and exhibitors with an opportunity to better understand attendee behavior and preferences at an event, while driving additional revenue opportunities.
The winner in the "Best in Event Management" category was A2Z, Inc. of Columbia, Md. for its ChirpE application, which allows event organizers to deploy information about their shows on any media, device or platform. They were also recognized for their new pricing structure and a free tool for managing event floor plans called FloorplanGenie.
MTO Summit organizers also awarded Honorable Mentions to ASP, Sparksight, Inc., Core-Apps, and Lygase RFID Solutions.
