CEATEC JAPAN 2011 to Collaborate with Tokyo Motor Show
IT and electronics trade show, CEATEC Japan, has agreed to collaborate with the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show this year in an effort to provide a strong message regarding Japan’s recovery following the earthquake-tsunami disaster in March 2011.
The collaboration sees two of Japan’s largest and most influential industries (IT & electronics and automobile) combining to highlight the resilience of Japan’s manufacturing industry. The partnership involves collaboration designed to increase media coverage as well as visitor numbers. The partnership has branded itself as ‘Team Technology Japan’.
Along with this, the Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Association has agreed to a series of initiatives with the Rinkai Fukutoshin Machizukuri (Tokyo Waterfront Community Development) in order to attract more visitors to the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show held at Tokyo Big Sight.
Until recently, the opportunity to have a celebrity attend an event, attach themselves to a name-brand or endorse a certain product or idea was untouchable. The thought of paying a person to promote a product was seen as something only Fortune 500 companies could afford. Social media has changed all that with brands and businesses utilizing celebrity influencers to connect directly with their demographics and increase sales and profits.
