Global Sources Partners With TradeIndia.com for Domestic Show
Hong Kong-based business-to-business media group Global Sources has announced a new partnership in India. Global Sources will partner with Infocom Network Limited, which operates a leading Indian online sourcing platform, TradeIndia.com. The two companies jointly will host the Global Sources Machinery & Industrial Supplies Fair at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.
The event will be held Nov. 23-25 and will target domestic Indian buyers and suppliers across a wide range of categories including engineering goods & equipment, machinery, pumping equipment, testing & measuring equipment, nuts & bolts, fasteners and valves. Organizers said they are expecting more than 200 exhibitors.
Tommy Wong, president of Global Sources Exhibitions, said, “This represents our entry into India's domestic market. We are pleased to be working with Tradeindia.com, the country's largest online B2B marketplace and one of the country's B2B leaders, to jointly host this event. Our goal is to create opportunities for buyers to meet face-to-face with quality suppliers who can help them profit from this booming sector in one of the world's fastest growing economies.”
Until recently, the opportunity to have a celebrity attend an event, attach themselves to a name-brand or endorse a certain product or idea was untouchable. The thought of paying a person to promote a product was seen as something only Fortune 500 companies could afford. Social media has changed all that with brands and businesses utilizing celebrity influencers to connect directly with their demographics and increase sales and profits.
