August 1, 2016

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events™ (IAEE) is accepting nominations for its 20 Under 30 program, which affords young professional exhibitions and events organizers, who may not be supported by their companies, the opportunity to attend Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition held 6-8 December in Anaheim, Calif.

The 20 Under 30 program provides education for professional growth in the exhibitions and events industry and helps program participants become better, more productive employees.

It is sponsored by the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau and Austin Convention Center.

“The 20 Under 30 program is a great benefit to young professionals because Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition is an all-in-one package of education and networking that draws the best of our industry every year,” said IAEE President David DuBois, CMP, CAE, FASAE, CTA.

He added, “The opportunity to greatly advance one’s career at this one event is too good to miss.”

In addition to receiving a complimentary full registration to Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition 2016 and lodging for three nights (over $1,400 value), honorees will be recognized throughout the annual meeting and formally at IAEE’s Expo! Expo! General Session Dec. 8.

As event professionals, our job is to host people and while we can’t prepare for everything, it’s essential to develop an emergency plan that can be adapted to any situation. In Boston, the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority’s (MCCA) Public Safety Team at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) and the Hynes Convention Center, have taken their experiences to develop a comprehensive crisis management training program, starting with crisis communications.
