International CES Launches Smart Home Marketplace at Sands Expo & Convention Center

The Consumer Electronics Association will launch the Smart Home Marketplace at the Sands Expo & Convention Center during the 2015 International CES,, which will run Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas.
 
The Smart Home Marketplace will focus on the growing trend of consumers’ wanting and creating smarter and more efficient homes.

From smartphones and tablets interacting with connected objects and devices to customized security monitoring and home automation, this area will showcase a range of solutions at CES Tech West in the Sands.

This exhibit area will be filled with companies seeking to showcase new innovations in smart home technologies and feature nearly 25,000 square feet of exhibit space sold to-date. 
 
“With the rapid growth in the smart home category, we are creating a dedicated area where attendees will find the range of smart home technologies coming to market. More than ever, homeowners are embracing the convenience and comfort that technology can bring with customized access to appliances, lighting and heating, window coverings, irrigation, entertainment systems and more,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, International CES and corporate business strategy, CEA.

She added, “We are pleased that Bosch, an industry leader, is sponsoring this inaugural Smart Home Marketplace at the 2015 CES. We look forward to seeing the newest innovations within this burgeoning technology space.”
 
Major exhibitors located within the Smart Home Marketplace include: ADT, Archos, Bosch (sponsor), Control4, Honeywell, Lowe’s, Lutron, Logitech, Wink and the Zigbee Marketplace presented by the Zigbee Alliance.

CES Tech West, encompassing The Sands, The Venetian,  The Palazzo, Wynn Las Vegas and Encore at Wynn (Wynn/Encore),  will showcase technologies in fitness and health, the Internet of things, sensors and other high-growth categories changing the way we live, work and play.

Tech West includes a registration area, Marketplaces, conferences, exhibits, press rooms, meeting rooms and select keynote addresses.
 
The 2015 CES will feature 20 category-specific Marketplaces highlighting innovation across diverse product areas.
