International School of Hospitality Installs Giant iTab for Students

December 13, 2015

The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) has installed cutting-edge technology for its special events and meetings students – the Giant iTab – an oversized interactive touchscreen intended to increase digital engagement and keep students on top of trends in the industry and at TISOH.

“When we teach our students about successful meetings, we want to expose them to every facet of planning, production and ultimately the experience of their attendees,” TISOH Executive Director Tim Lam said.

He added, “That includes bringing in the most innovative technology possible so they can create meetings that successfully attract, engage and inform their audience. The Giant iTab is precisely one of those cutting-edge technology tools hitting the market, and we want our students to learn to use it here, then be the experts on it when they launch their careers.”

TISOH currently is using its two Giant iTabs to encourage digital engagement among students, who can post live tweets about courses and externships.

The Giant iTabs also serve as visual bulletin boards and often display the latest discussions among students and others in real time on the school’s Facebook, SnapChat and Instagram accounts.

John Humphries, owner of Earth Water Sky - a Las Vegas-based full service event production and design group – is Giant iTab’s exclusive rental partner for the Western region, and coordinated the placement of the Giant iTabs at the school.

"Earth Water Sky is excited to partner with TISOH and Giant iTab, bringing together students and the most advanced live event technologies,” Humphries said.

He added, “Giant iTab provides a unique hands-on experience for students and faculty, as the superior interactive digital signage - interactive kiosk product for live events."

Mark Jones, managing director of Giant iTab, said event planners are eager for new ways to elevate their events and increase opportunities for their attendees to participate.

“There is a growing appetite within the events industry for ways to create added engagement and interaction,” Jones said. “Here at Giant iTab, we are delighted to be part of that excitement by offering an award-winning solution which allows conference planners and event professionals to showcase their digital content on a Giant iPhone.”
