KLCC's Event Numbers up 15 Percent in 2011

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) reported record results for the financial year ended 31st December 2011. The number of events held at KLCC in 2011 increased 15% year-on-year rising from 1,167 events to 1,346. A total of 1.7 million delegates and visitors attended events at KLCC last year, which the venue estimates created an economic impact of US$217 million in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia last year.

General manager of KLCC, Datuk Peter Brokenshire, said, “In its seventh year of operations, the Centre has become not only a venue of choice in Malaysia and also internationally. Our continuing success can be attributed to having a world-class facility

staffed by a knowledgeable and experienced team who remain committed to putting the company’s vision into action.”
