SACEOS Elects New President
The Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (SACEOS) has elected Rosalind Ng as its new president to succeed the outgoing Edward Liu.
With more than 28 years of experience in exhibitions, Ng, who also is the managing director in Asia of IIR Exhibitions Pte Ltd, aims to market Singapore as one of Asia’s premier MICE destinations through partnerships with various associations and organisations serving the industry.
SACEOS provides continuing education and training to its members and the MICE industry through Professional Exhibition Management, Professional Conference Management and Certified in Exhibition (CEM) training courses.
“I am delighted at this opportunity to serve and contribute to the MICE industry in Singapore,” Ng said. “The future for the MICE industry here definitely looks promising especially with the opening of the two Integrated Resorts which have seen more events taking place. Asia is fast becoming the Number One MICE destination in the world and I am also grateful to receive full mandate from the past presidents, who have expressed their strong support for me to lead SACEOS to the next lap”
Until recently, the opportunity to have a celebrity attend an event, attach themselves to a name-brand or endorse a certain product or idea was untouchable. The thought of paying a person to promote a product was seen as something only Fortune 500 companies could afford. Social media has changed all that with brands and businesses utilizing celebrity influencers to connect directly with their demographics and increase sales and profits.
