Tarsus Group, dmg events will launch the Big 5 Construct Indonesia exhibition to serve the burgeoning domestic and regional construction sector in the country in May 2015 at the Jakarta International Exhibition Centre.

dmg events are the organizers of the Big 5 series of events - the Middle East’s largest construction event in Dubai and events in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and India.

The new show will bring the international building and construction world together in a single location providing a valuable meeting place to source product, conduct business and build strategic partnerships, according to show organizers.

“Construction represents 10 percent of Indonesian GDP,” said Douglas Emslie, group managing director of Tarsus Group.

He added, “The launch of The Big 5 Construct Indonesia is very timely and represents a unique opportunity to bring new international brands, expertise and stakeholders to do business in this dynamic and fast moving G20 nation.”

The event in Dubai welcomed 2,742 exhibitors from 57 countries and 74,474 participants last year to the Dubai World Trade Centre.

“The Big 5 has long been established as the leading building and construction event in the Middle East with strong international participation,” said Matt Denton, senior vice president, dmg events.

He added, “The new Indonesian event will allow us to build on our expertise and expand into the fast-growing Indonesian construction market. I am excited by the opportunity to work with Tarsus to launch this exciting new event. The Indonesian construction market is maturing and there is a need for a truly professional B2B construction show that showcases the best international products and services alongside domestic solutions providers.”

Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world, and the rapidly increasing purchasing power of this huge population is creating a significant new business opportunities.

The government’s Master plan for Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia's Economic Development (abbreviated to MP3EI) is an ambitious plan by the Indonesian government to accelerate the realization of becoming a developed country by 2025.

Encouraging international participation in its construction and infrastructure development will be essential to the master plan’s success.

According to show organizers, the immediate interest in The Big 5 Construct Indonesia by worldwide industry leaders indicates that Indonesia will be a major growth market for the construction sector.

“This exhibition will provide the perfect platform for global and local suppliers to meet Indonesian project holders and do business,” the show organizers added.
