September 9, 2012

The second annual Cruise Shipping Asia–Pacific exhibition will showcase leading regional cruise destinations and new maritime products and services Sept. 17-18 at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore.

Presented by UBM Asia, the organizers of Cruise Shipping Miami - the premier annual event for the global cruise industry, Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific 2012 will feature exhibitors, including national tourism organizations and companies from the information and technology, ship equipment, safety, security, crew management and hotel operations categories.

On display will be new products, services and tourism destinations targeted to meet the needs of cruise industry buyers in the rapidly developing pan-Asian cruise tourism market.

Exhibitor Amadeus will present its new cruise passenger-booking tool.

"The system is a powerful marketing and booking tool for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer websites," said Axel Erpenbach, Amadeus business development manager.

He added, "The content is enriched by a variety of important and exclusive products that can be booked offline, rounding up the customer's shopping experience and offering practically 95 percent of all cruises worldwide."

Tourism Western Australia is another new exhibitor this year. CEO Stephanie Buckland said the agency is leading an Australian delegation to the conference to raise awareness of Western Australian State's eight cruise destinations.

"Western Australia's geographic position and proximity to Southeast Asia makes it an attractive destination for cruise ships traveling through the region," she added.

First-time exhibitor Aerobytes Marine is showing its bridge operational quality assurance safety product that enables proactive, real-time monitoring of vessels globally across an entire fleet.

Additional exhibiting companies include Sembawang Shipyard, Philippine Department of Tourism, Malaysia Tourism Board, Taipei City Government, Royal Haskoning, Adonis AS, TEAM Ports & Maritime, Indonesia Ministry of Tourism, Maritime Communications Partner, SATS-Creuers, Singapore Tourism Board, ICF International, Latitude 1 Maritime, Angliss Singapore, Brunei Tourism Ministry, Micronesian Cruise Association and The Park Regis Singapore.
