Description

The joint Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) and American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Airport Noise Conference will be held October 19 – 22 in Montreal, QC.  This conference will address the latest topics in airport noise management, as well as other topics, such as mitigation, research updates, and community engagement.

Aviation stakeholders, including airport operators, federal government policy-makers, and airlines have invested decades of work in mitigating and managing the impacts of aircraft noise through efforts such as noise abatement procedures, sound insulation programs, land acquisition, other mitigation measures, FAA and ICAO regulations, and impressive advances in airframe and engine technology resulting in quieter planes. Despite these efforts, challenges remain, and this year’s conference will feature sessions that look forward, such as what’s next as FAA wraps up the Metroplex program and moves to single-site implementations. We’ll also hear updates on FAA’s noise-related research programs, and we’ll continue discussions begun in previous years’ conferences. Participants will benefit from hearing best practices and exchanging ideas, such as Aircraft Noise Complaint Management and Airport-Community Noise Forums/Roundtables.

The ACI-NA/AAAE Airport Noise Conference will bring together industry partners, FAA, airports, consultants and manufacturers to share their collective knowledge, experience and lessons learned.  Join your colleagues this year in Montreal to discuss these important issues and latest developments in the area of airport noise management.
