Description

Join us May 18-23, 2019 for the 57th American Society of Neuroradiology Annual Meeting at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. The theme for the Annual Meeting, “Connection: Science and Practice,” emphasizes the dual focus on clinical neuroradiology and the latest in research developments and also refers to the important role of connection and connectedness as a broad theme in neuroscience and human nature. The opening symposium, “From Connectome to Connection” will trace this role of connection and connectedness from the latest research in human brain mapping to our understanding of the importance of human connection in well-being and happiness, with a clinical focus on disrupted connection in developmental disorders, stroke, white matter disease, dementia, traumatic brain injury, and psychiatric disorders.

Historic Boston serves as a terrific host city with endless activities, restaurants, and vibrant culture. Explore Boston’s famous North End, walk (or run*) the Freedom Trail, and enjoy the shopping and strolling in neighboring Back Bay. New England is also home to world-class hospitals, universities, and high-tech companies, helping to attract the brightest names in clinical care, research, and industry. We’ll have a special focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence in neuroradiology, in addition to the latest in head and neck imaging, pediatric and functional neuroradiology, vascular disease and spine, in addition to health policy programming with updates on payment policy and Medicare for the practicing radiologist.

The 2019 Annual Meeting will also feature the Inaugural Reunion Night, a special reception Monday evening, May 20 in conjunction with our general social programming geared to host fellowship/training program reunions and a chance to reconnect with old friends and colleagues like never before at ASNR. So make plans to attend; you won’t want to miss your colleagues, and you don’t want to miss all the latest that ASNR has to offer in Boston!
