Description
Track-1: Health and Wellness The term "healthy" is also widely used in the context of many types of non-living organizations and their impacts for the benefit of humans, such as in the sense of Health Care System and Law, Health Financing and Health Innovation, Policy and Evaluation. In addition to health care interventions and a person's surroundings, a number of other factors are known to influence the health status of individuals, including their background, lifestyle, and economic, social conditions, and spirituality; these are referred to as "determinants of health." Studies have shown that high levels of stress can affect human health. Health care (or healthcare) is the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease, illness, injury, and other physical and mental impairments in human beings. Health care is delivered by practitioners in allied health, dentistry, midwifery (obstetrics), medicine, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, psychology and other health professions. It refers to the work done in providing primary care, secondary care, and tertiary care, as well as in Medicinal Healthcare, public health and Pediatric Healthcare Track-2: Nutrition and Health Nutritional science investigates the metabolic and physiological responses of the body to diet. With advances in the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, the study of Human nutrition is increasingly concerned with metabolism and metabolic pathways. Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents, and the age limit usually ranges from birth up to 18 years of age. Nutrition is some of the most effective forms of development aid. Breastfeeding can reduce rates of malnutrition and death in children, and efforts to promote the practice increase rates. Medical nutrition therapy is a therapeutic approach to treating medical conditions and their associated symptoms via the use of a specifically tailored diet devised and monitored by a registered dietitian or professional nutritionist. Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts that are good for your health, especially your digestive system. Most people trying to lose weight only focus on their ultimate goal: dropping pounds. But it's important not to lose sight of the diet and exercise changes that will get you there. Track-3: Women’s Health Issues and Care Women have unique health issues. And some of the health issues that affect women differently. Unique issues include pregnancy, menopause, and conditions of the female organs. Women can have a healthy pregnancy by getting early and regular prenatal care. They should also get recommended breast cancer, cervical cancer, and bone density screenings. Complications of pregnancy are health problems that occur during pregnancy. They can involve the mother's health, the baby's health, or both. Diet and nutrition during pregnancy time eating well at work Protein rich veg recipes eating well: 13-16 weeks Calcium rich recipes. Ovulation is the event of de Graf’s follicles rupturing and releasing secondary oocyte ovarian cells. The best time to try and conceive is during the ‘fertile window’ of the menstrual cycle Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are a common medical complaint. It is estimated that up to 40 percent of women will have a UTI at some time in their lives. Breast cancer is cancer that develops from breast tissue. Signs of breast cancer may include a lump in the breast, a change in breast shape. Certain factors increase your risk of ovarian cancer: Age Inherited gene mutation, Estrogen hormone replacement therapy. Track-4: Social and Economic Factors affecting Health The social determinants of health are the economic and social conditions and their distribution among the population that influence individual and group differences in health status. They are health promoting factors found in one's living and working conditions such as economic stability, cultural and financial factors rather than individual risk factors such as behavioral risk factors or genetics that influence the risk for a disease, or vulnerability to disease or injury. These distributions of social determinants are shaped by public policies such as Educational Attainment and well-being of Children that reflect the influence of prevailing political ideologies of those governing a jurisdiction. Track-5: Perinatal & Reproductive Health Reproductive health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of reproductive disease or infirmity. Reproductive health deals with the reproductive processes, functions and system at all stages of life. Implicit in this last condition are the right of men and women to be informed and to have access to safe, effective, affordable and acceptable methods of family planning of their choice, as well as other methods of their choice for regulation of fertility which are not against the law, and the right of access to appropriate health care services that will enable women to go safely through pregnancy and childbirth and provide couples with the best chance of having a healthy infant. Reproductive health should also address issues such as harmful practices, unwanted pregnancy, unsafe abortion, reproductive tract infections including sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS, gender-based violence, infertility, malnutrition and anemia, and reproductive tract cancers. Track-6: Chronic Conditions A chronic condition is a human health condition or disease that is persistent or otherwise long-lasting in its effects or a disease that comes with time. The term chronic is usually applied when the course of the disease lasts for more than three months. Common chronic diseases include arthritis, asthma, cancer, COPD, diabetes and viral diseases such as hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS. Chronic diseases constitute a major cause of mortality. Chronic care management encompasses the oversight and education activities conducted by health care professionals to help patients with chronic diseases and health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, lupus, multiple sclerosis and sleep apnea learn to understand their condition and live successfully with it. This term is equivalent to disease management (health) for chronic conditions. The work involves motivating patients to persist in necessary therapies and interventions and helping them to achieve an ongoing, reasonable quality of life. Track-7: Mental Health Mental health is a level of psychological well-being, or an absence of a mental disorder. It is the "psychological state of someone who is functioning at a satisfactory level of emotional and behavioral adjustment". From the perspective of positive psychology or holism, mental health may include an individual's ability to enjoy life, and create a balance between life activities and efforts to achieve psychological resilience. A person struggling with his or her behavioral health may face stress, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, grief, addiction, ADHD or learning disabilities, Mood disorders, Eating disorders or other psychological concerns. Counselors, therapists, life coaches, psychologists, nurse practitioners or physicians can help manage behavioral health concerns with treatments such as therapy, counseling, or medication. The new field of global mental health is "the area of study, research and practice that places a priority on improving mental health and achieving equity in mental health for all people worldwide". Track-8: Health behaviors Behavioral Health is a branch of interdisciplinary health which focuses on the reciprocal relationship between the holistic view of human behavior and the well-being of the body as a whole entity. Behavioral Health is issues that can have a different outcome by changing behavior. For example, giving up smoking can lessen the health problems or illnesses associated with cigarettes. Many health conditions are caused by risk behaviors, such as problem drinking, substance use, smoking, reckless driving, overeating, or unprotected sexual intercourse. Fortunately, human beings have, in principle, control over their conduct. Health-compromising behaviors can be eliminated by self-regulatory efforts, and health-enhancing behaviors can be adopted instead, such as physical exercise, weight control, preventive nutrition, dental hygiene, condom use, or accident prevention. Track-9: Access, Utilization, and Quality of Health Care Primary care must be reengineered to improve outcomes and affordability. To achieve those goals, WellPoint invested in ten patient-centered medical home pilots that encourage care coordination, preventive care, and shared decision making. Two of the three pilots described in this article—in Colorado and New Hampshire—layer incentive payments for care coordination and quality improvement on top of a traditional fee-for-service payment. The third—in New York—pays doctors an enhanced fee that is tied to achievement of quality levels. Preliminary evaluations show encouraging signs that the Colorado and New Hampshire pilots are meeting some cost, Access, utilization, and quality of healthcare objectives. A full evaluation in all three states is ongoing. To help enable system wide transformation, WellPoint is now applying similar payment strategies to primary care practices that may not have the resources to become full-fledged medical homes. Employment, job characteristics, and marital status are key determinants of disparities in access to insurance but are difficult for health policy to affect directly. Track-10: Auto Immune Diseases Autoimmune diseases arise from an abnormal immune response of the body against substances and tissues normally present in the body. Examples include Celiac disease, diabetes mellitus type 1, Sarcoidosis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Sjögren's syndrome, Churg-Strauss Syndrome, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, Graves' disease, Osteoporosis, Addison's Disease, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Polymyositis (PM), and Dermatomyositis (DM). Autoimmune diseases are very often treated with steroids. Track-11: Health in Pregnancy There was a time when pregnant women were encouraged to avoid physical activity. Fortunately, attitudes about pregnancy have changed and medical experts now recommend regular physical activity as part of a healthy pregnancy. Healthy eating plays a very important role in a healthy pregnancy. You need to eat foods from a variety of sources to make sure you get all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients you and your developing baby need. Eating well will also help you feel better, give you more energy and help keep your weight in check. It will also contribute to your baby’s healthy growth and development. Food to be avoided which may be contaminated by bacteria. It is suggested to take the advice of the Healthcare advisor before flying and travel. Some Pills, medicines and other drugs may be harmful during pregnancy, depending on the amount and frequency of use. Track-12: Beauty and Skin Care Natural skin care is the care of the skin using naturally derived ingredients (such as herbs, roots, essential oils and flowers) combined with naturally occurring carrier agents, preservatives, surfactants, humectants and emulsifiers (everything from natural soap to oils to pure water). Cosmetics are care substances used to enhance the appearance or odor of the human body. Skin aging is noted by a decrease in volume and elasticity. There are many internal and external causes to skin aging. For example, aging skin receives less blood flow and lower glandular activity. Anti-aging supplements are used to treat skin aging. Now a days you'll find homemade face mask recipes, the best organic skincare products on the market and tips to keep your skin healthy. Track-13: Prenatal Fitness Prenatal fitness is a physical exercise that is developed to promote breathing workout routines, posture and emotional relaxation. This method is frequently sought by pregnant women who are preparing for an all-natural childbirth or who wish to remain physically and emotionally healthful in the course of their pregnancy. A lot of rewards of prenatal yoga are the lack of physical exertion that is essential, which makes it a safe practice for a lot of moms-to-be. Staying healthy during pregnancy includes rest, proper nutrition and exercise during pregnancy. Build strength and stamina for your pregnancy, labor and delivery through strength training exercises that are specific to your stage of pregnancy. When you're pregnant, the payoffs for developing strong abdominal and pelvic-floor muscles are plentiful. Stretching makes you more flexible, prevents your muscles from tightening, and helps you feel looser and more relaxed. Aerobic exercises were a great way for me to stay in good physical health while pregnant. Track-14: Importance of Physical Activities Physical activity or exercise can improve your health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases like type 2 diabetes, cancer and Heart disease. Physical activity and exercise can have immediate and long-term health benefits. Regular physical activity can produce long term health benefits. Exercise can help prevent excess weight gain or obesity and helps in maintaining weight loss. People with existing osteoporosis can also benefit from exercise. This is because a sedentary lifestyle (little exercise) encourages the loss of bone mass. Exercising regularly can reduce the rate of bone loss. If you're interested in feeling stronger, healthier, and more vital, this program is for you. This strength-training program was developed by experts for Disease Control and Prevention. Track-15: Public Health Public health has been described as "the science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting health through the organized efforts and informed choices of society, organizations, public and private, communities and individuals." It is concerned with threats to the overall health of a community based on population health analysis. Public health has many sub-fields, but typically includes the interdisciplinary categories of: Ethics in Healthcare Management and Health care Policy and Regulation, community health. Medical Tourism and its Impact are also important areas of public health. Its aim is to develop Therapeutic Communication Skills with Patients, Families and the Health Care. The focus of public health interventions is to prevent and manage diseases, injuries and other health conditions through surveillance of cases and the promotion of Public Health Concepts and Healthcare Economics.
