This year, the IACP Law Enforcement Information Management (LEIM) Annual Education Conference and Technology Exposition is undergoing a transformation into the IACP Technology Conference. What does this mean? This event will retain the core aspects that attendees have come to expect from the IACP LEIM Conference: access to top-notch educational sessions, world-class exhibits, and cutting-edge technology. The name change reflects the evolving landscape of technology in law enforcement and encompasses the many topics the conference will address. The IACP Technology Conference provides law enforcement executives, IT managers, technology specialists, and others with a forum in which to share information, best practices and lessons learned regarding state-of-the-art law enforcement information management, communications and interoperability, technology standards, and information sharing, analysis and fusion. The IACP has hosted information management and technology conferences since April 1977. The conferences provide training, professional development, and a national forum for law enforcement executives, operational managers, and technology and research staff to share best practices and lessons learned on a broad array of new and emerging technologies.

Business success — you may think it’s all about the bottom line, but savvy CEOs like those at Apple, Starbucks and IKEA know otherwise. Although profits play a big role, it’s also important for companies to be socially responsible by considering their impact on the environment, their local economy and their customers. One way that companies can practice corporate social responsibility (CSR) is by incorporating it into company events.
