The ninth North American edition of AMI's Polymers in Cables conference will aim to put material, regulatory and technology developments in the context of the challenging business environment in which cable producers, their customers and suppliers operate. Industry consultants, AMI, will provide a market overview, analyzing structural changes and providing views on the future trends for material usage in cable manufacturing. Raw material suppliers, machinery manufacturers and testing/certification/regulatory agencies will also share their views on the key business, environmental and technological changes that are shaping the future of this industry. This busy two-day program will look in detail at key developments in polymers, additives, compounds, flame retardant and fire resistant technology, and the potential for improved and sustainable cable performance. Key papers will also look at important issues from the perspective of cable extruders and users and will outline their expectations of suppliers.

Business success — you may think it’s all about the bottom line, but savvy CEOs like those at Apple, Starbucks and IKEA know otherwise. Although profits play a big role, it’s also important for companies to be socially responsible by considering their impact on the environment, their local economy and their customers. One way that companies can practice corporate social responsibility (CSR) is by incorporating it into company events.
