On behalf of SAGES President, Dr. Daniel J. Scott, and the Program Committee, we would like to invite you to attend the 2017 SAGES Annual Meeting in Houston, TX, the fourth-largest city in the United States, also known as “Space City”, “The Energy Capital of the World”, and importantly, the site of the largest medical center in the world, the “Texas Medical Center”. This year’s SAGES Meeting will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center from March 22-25. The meeting is designed to encourage communication and collaboration and to make room for the voices of SAGES members and meeting attendees at large. We invite all of you to come to the meeting to exchange with colleagues, learn from your peers and take home a few pearls that will improve how you care for your surgical patients. Most importantly, we hope that you have FUN, because, in addition to the high quality science, innovative technology and world-renowned expertise, we really know how to have a good time!! The most popular topics that will be highlighted at the meeting are foregut, colorectal, hernia, bariatric, minimally invasive liver and pancreas surgery as well as flexible endoscopy. Highlights include: Postgraduate (PG) courses, including: How to write and get your Scientific Manuscript Published, Robotic Hernia Surgery, Minimally Invasive Liver Surgery, a FUSE course, and SMART Beyond Colorectal with a SMART workshop designed for the entire surgical team. The hands-on courses include Endolumenal Bariatrics, Robotic Hernia Surgery, and the innovative ADOPT Colon course.
