The Water Show Africa was re-launched in 2015 (formerly known as The Africa Water Congress). It is Africa’s leading conference and exhibition for water professionals. They attend The Water Show Africa to discover the latest services and innovations to improve the delivery of water infrastructure and efficiency in service supply. 

319 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa do not have access to reliable drinking water sources. A lot needs to be done to give them access to clean water. The Water Show Africa, deals are initiated and closed to ensure that we get water flowing to the most vulnerable of our people. 

The Water Show Africa is a unique conference and marketplace where water CEO’s, government officials, senior executives and engineers come to explore solutions for developing investable and sustainable world class water projects throughout the African continent.

African water boards, utilities, operators, government, major end-users and investors come to meet new partners that can help them achieve their goals.

We are proud to have hosted Rand Water, WSUP Kenya, the Water Research Commission, Namibia Water Corporation, Taraba State Water Supply Agency of Nigeria, eThekwini Water and Sanitation Centre of Expertise, The Department of Trade and Industry, Mhlathuze Water, Umgeni Water and the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority, to name a few. Reflecting the growth and development in the region for years to come, the show is the most important place to build partnerships for future success.

Running alongside Power & Electricity World Africa, the show highlights the close working relationship of these two industries – as well as the business opportunity in the water nexus.

In October 2023, the Orange County Board of County Commissioners voted to approve allocating Tourist Development Tax funding for the $560 million Phase 5A completion of the OCCC. The Convention Way Grand Concourse project will include enhancements to the North-South Building, featuring an additional 60,000 square feet of meeting space, an 80,000- square-foot ballroom and new entry to the North-South Building along Convention Way. “We are thrilled to begin work on completing our North-South Building which will allow us to meet the growing needs of our clients,” said OCCC Executive Director Mark Tester. “As an economic driver for the community, this project will provide the Center with connectivity and meeting space to host more events and continue to infuse the local economy with new money and expanding business opportunities.” Amenities: The Center of Hospitality goes above and beyond by offering world-class customer service and industry-leading partnerships. From the largest convention center Wi-Fi network to custom LAN/WAN design, the Center takes pride in enhancing exhibitor and customer experience.  The OCCC is the exclusive provider of electricity (24-hour power at no additional cost), aerial rigging and lighting, water, natural gas and propane, compressed air, and cable TV services. Convenience The Center is at the epicenter of the destination, with an abundance of hotels, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance. Pedestrian bridges connect both buildings to more than 5,200 rooms and is within a 15-minute drive from the Orlando International Airport.
