Elizabeth Johnson, Principal, glee Content Marketing
Liz creates strategic content marketing campaigns, writes promotional copy and manages paid and organic social media campaigns for the event industry. Over the past 15 years, her work has helped planners of intimate meetings, industry mega shows and everything in between grow their attendance and engage with their audiences on new platforms. In 2017, Liz used her expertise and her passion for powerful storytelling and cutting-edge marketing tactics to launch glee Content Marketing. Within close working relationships, her clients receive strategic implementation of content and social media campaigns using the most current digital tactics. About the Panelists:
Krista LeZotte, Senior Manager, Conferences for ASAE
Krista has worked 12 years in the meetings and hospitality industry. Krista started her career as a Catering Manager at a university in Pennsylvania before moving to Washington, DC in 2007 where she began her career in the association world. Over the years, through various careers including working at a DMC and at the Foundation for the National Archives, Krista gained special events experience that she can now blend into her meeting planning background for her current role at ASAE. Krista currently holds her CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) and CSEP (Certified Special Events Professional) certifications. In her free time, Krista serves as Chair of the AMPs (Association of Meeting Professionals) Board of Directors in Washington, DC and volunteers with Community Lodgings as a Girls' Mentor. Krista resides with her husband, Darin, in Alexandria, VA.
Katie Stern, General Manager Game Develops Conference, UBM Tech
Katie Stern is an experienced conference and tradeshow professional who excels at consistently growing portfolios of strategic events through community-first decision making, meaningful training offerings, compelling presenters, seamlessly integrated sponsor involvement and unique attendee experiences. Stern’s user-centric approach and fearless [calculated] risk-taking has taken her career across multiple industries, disciplines and companies, including: operations for Disney Institute, convention services for multiple hotel brands, webinars and live events for the PR sector, event marketing production for George P. Johnson, in-house event service management for The Linux Foundation, and GM for multiple brands at UBM/Informa. Most recently, Stern oversees the management of the Game Developers Conference. She is passionate about emerging tech, empowering entrepreneurs on their road to success and advancing the dialogue around women in the industry.
Kevin Barosso, Director of Convention Sales, Mohegan Sun
Kevin Barosso joined Mohegan Sun as Director of Convention Sales in March of 2018. In his current role he directs a team of six sales professionals that provide unique meeting experiences to our meeting and convention clients. Prior to Joining Mohegan Sun, Kevin has held sales leadership positions at The Inverness Hotel, Terranea Resort and the national sales team for Destination Hotels. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Global Group Sales for Two Roads Hospitality the parent company for Destination Hotels, ALila Hotels and Resorts, Joie de Vivre Hotels, Thompson Hotels, and tommie hotels. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Restaurant Hotel Management from Keuka College and a certificate of completion in Kitchen Production Management from Swiss Hotel Management School “Les Roches.” In addition, he completed the management training course at Walt Disney World’s Disney University. He calls Connecticut home, but is a modern nomad and has traveled to all seven continents.
