The Association for Advancing Automation’s (A3) biennial Automate 2015 recently launched a new Web site in advance of its highly anticipated event, scheduled March 23-26, 2015, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Highlights of the new Web site include responsive design for easy viewing on mobile devices; an interactive exhibit hall floor plan; a redesigned new product showcase; and a new site search feature. Steady manufacturing recovery and an increasing need for faster, cheaper and better production drove record numbers at FABTECH 2013, a metal forming, fabricating and welding event, that took place Nov. 18–21 at McCormick Place in Chicago. U.K.-Based Tarsus Group continues to expand into markets worldwide, with one new partnership deal that moves the company into Mexico and another that includes a show launch in Thailand. In the first deal, Tarsus agreed to acquire a 50-percent interest in a company that owns two major exhibitions in Mexico from E.J. ProWine China, a new event from the organizer of ProWein – the largest exhibition for wines and spirits held annually in Düsseldorf, Germany – was jointly organized by the Messe Düsseldorf Group and China International Exhibitions Ltd, a member of the Allworld Exhibitions network. The AACC Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo won the 2013 Trade Show News Network award for having the fastest-growing attendance of all nonprofit trade shows.
