Messe Frankfurt's China Lighting Show Attracts 2,588 Exhibitors

Last month, the 18th edition of Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, organised by Messe Frankfurt, attracted more than 116,000 visitors from 120 countries and regions – an increase of 6% over the previous edition. The show was sold out and welcomed 2,588 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions.

Focusing on lighting-related products including fixtures, electronic components, accessories, and LED development, the four-day show ran from 9th to 12th June at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. There were four international pavilions at the fair this year including Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan and the U.S.

The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition was held concurrently with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology and Building Solar China. Together, the three events combined to occupy 21 halls covering 215,000 m2.

Lucia Wong, deputy general manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai), commented, “I am very impressed with the quality of the 2013 lighting show and glad to see the support from the worldwide lighting industry for the fair. By bringing together the different lighting sector groups under one roof, we have been playing a dynamic role in the development of the lighting industry, by offering a comprehensive industry platform for presentation and communication on the international stage.”
