MTA VIETNAM2012 Attracts 10,000 Attendees

July 22, 2012

Singapore Exhibition Services’ MTA VIETNAM2012 attracted a total of more than 10,000 attendees, including trade visitors, exhibiting staff, conference delegates, speakers and members of the press.

The manufacturing solutions trade event was first launched in Ho Chi Minh City in 2005 and is co-organized by VCCI Exhibition Service Co Ltd.

"Every edition of MTA VIETNAM sees us continually trying to bring the latest technologies and products to Vietnam,” said William Lim, project director for Singapore Exhibition Services (SES).

He added, “This year is no different, as we see the return of many quality international brands, resulting in the show exceeding its previous edition and becoming the largest MTA VIETNAM to date. The continuous growth is testament to MTA VIETNAM being the foremost and most relevant trade show for the manufacturing industry in Vietnam.”

MTA VIETNAM2012 had several local and international brands exhibiting the technologies that have never been seen before in Vietnam.

Making their debut into the Vietnamese market were technologies such as DMG MORI SEKI's Milltap 700, a rigid milling-drilling-tapping center; Mitsubishi Electric's new MV series Wire EDM machine and Unify Tech's Okamoto High-precision CNC surface grinding machine.

"MTA is about technology for tomorrow. So in this exhibition, Mitsubishi Electric brings to Vietnam, the technology for the future with its new MV series Wire EDM machine," said Charles Tay, senior sales manager of Mitsubishi Electric Asia.

Besides attendees on the showfloor, several exhibitors were successful in making sales at the event.

"We are very happy as all our machines have been sold,” said Ricky Hwa, chief representative of Yamazaki Mazak's Vietnam office. “The visitor quality has also improved as we have received a lot of good enquiries. We will definitely come back to MTA VIETNAM next year.”

Lim said the show was the largest one yet this year, adding, “We hope to continue this growth in the next edition. With exhibitors already booking their space for the next edition, we'll definitely be exploring ways to expand the depth and breadth of the exhibition and conference to continue to deliver a highly relevant and top quality manufacturing solutions trade event for the industry."
