Showcare Event Solutions Signs Extensions with Two Medical Events

February 24, 2013

Showcare Event Solutions, an event data solutions provider, has recently signed 3-year contract extensions with two of its medical association clients - the Movement Disorder Society and the American Geriatrics Society.

Showcare will be providing advance and onsite registration services for MDS’s 2013 International Congress in Sydney, Australia, as well as the 2014 and 2015 Congresses in Stockholm and San Diego, respectively.

“The decision we made in 2008 to bring on Showcare to handle our registration needs was a tremendous contributor to advancing our International Congress,” said Jenny Quebbeman, CMP, MDS’ director of meetings.

She added, “We’ve been able to do so much that was previously out of our reach. But what I value most about our relationship with Showcare is how our teams have come together to work as one in an effort to reach our objectives for the Congress.”

In addition to advance and online registration services, Showcare will continue to provide RFID-enabled CME credit tracking, online CME session evaluation, CME certificate generation and lead retrieval services for the AGS Annual Scientific Meetings of 2013, 2014, and 2015.

“We value the opportunity to continue assisting both AGS and MDS in the work that their associations are doing for their members and for the advancement of quality of life” said David Flood, vice presiden of business development at Showcare.

He added, “The knowledge that we play a role in their important work is always present in our minds.”

MDS has more than 3,500 members from 90-plus countries and gathers thousands of the field's clinicians, researchers, trainees and industry supporters on an annual basis at its International Congress of Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders.

AGS is a nonprofit organization of more than 6,000 health professionals focused on improving the health, independence and quality of life of all older people.
