XPO Acquires Nine Shows at North Port Events

XPO Exhibitions, a trade show organizer in New Zealand, announced that the company has acquired nine shows from North Port Events. No financial details were released.

The nine shows are The Baby Shows, The Food Shows (Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch), Fine Food New Zealand, Facilities Integrate, The Waikato Home & Garden Show, Autumn HomeXPO.

After the acquisition, XPO will organise a portfolio of 18 shows in 2020 and the company is expecting more than 3,500 exhibiting companies and over 150,000 visitors at its events next year.

North Port’s GM Rebecca Stewart will lead its consumer events, while its trade events will be led by XPO’s Event Director Tony Waite.

XPO managing director Brent Spillane, commented, “Our sector expos now span food & beverage manufacturing and retail, general manufacturing, packaging, baby, gift and homewares, build construction and design, home shows, facilities management, wholesaling, workplace safety, logistics and more. Each show serves the largest national attendance for each market, both at exhibitor and visitor level. We’re confident there will be strong cross-pollination across events.”
