Messe Frankfurt Adds PROCESS EXPO to Its Food Technology Show Management Portfolio

The Food Processing Suppliers Association, owners of PROCESS EXPO, has tapped the North American subsidiary of Frankfurt, Germany-based Messe Frankfurt to handle all aspects of the show’s management including sales, marketing, operations and sponsorships. 

Set for October 12-15, 2021 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, PROCESS EXPO is the U.S.’s largest biennial food equipment and technology trade show for the food and beverage processing industry. The event attracts approximately 15,000 food and beverage processing and packaging professionals, as well as 500 exhibitors displaying the latest in machines, products, technology and services. 

“Messe Frankfurt, as one of the world’s largest show organizers, brings an incredible wealth of expertise and organizational knowledge which will make our 2021 show an even more successful event that all attendees will find of great value,” said Matt Malott, FPSA chairman and president, who also serves as CEO and president of Multivac.  

Besides featuring an expo, networking opportunities and educational programming, the event represents a vast array of vertical food and beverage processing and packaging industry segments, including: 

  • Bakery, grains, nuts, seeds, snacks
  • Beverage, coffee blends, juices
  • Cheese, dairy, ice cream, milk, yogurt
  • Meat, poultry, seafood
  • Pet good, treats
  • Prepared foods, fruits, vegetables
  • Cannabis edibles processing and packaging
  • Confectionery, candy, sweets
  • Co-packers (private label and contract manufacturing companies)
  • Food and beverage packaging

He added, “Our goal with PROCESS EXPO is to continue shaping the future of the global food technology industry while providing the highest level of service to all participants.” 

Through this management agreement, PROCESS EXPO joins Messe Frankfurt’s food processing and technology trade show portfolio that includes IFFA (Frankfurt), Tecno Fidta (Argentina), Modern Bakery Moscow and Salon du Chocolat Moscow (Russia). Each year, the four shows collectively attract approximately 1,400 exhibitors and more than 93,000 global visitors.
