In 2008, European show organizer EUROVET bought a 30-percent stake in CURVExpo, a show for designer lingerie, men's underwear and swimwear In North America, and more recently, it sealed the deal by buying the other 70-percent stake of the company.

CURVE xpo was launched in 2007 by co-founders Jean-Luc Teinturier and Laurence Teinturier and is held in New York and Las Vegas.

Since its inception, the show has grown so fast there now are four shows annually, two each for the West and East Coast markets.

"CURVExpo and Jean-Luc and Laurence have been very strong partners over the past four years , we strongly both felt it is the right timing to merge CURVExpo within the global EUROVET organization,” said Marie-Laure Bellon-Homps , CEO of EUROVET .

She added, “The acquisition of CURVExpo is consistent with EUROVET overall strategy to be the reference partner worldwide dedicated to the lingerie and swimwear industry, offering to the international brands the best platform for their international development."

Jean-Luc Teinturier, founder and CEO of CURVExpo, said, "Being part of EUROVET will enable CURVExpo to tap into new resources and capabilities, allowing us to better serve our customers. This is a great opportunity for the CURVExpo shows and for the industry as a whole."

EUROVET, along with shareholders French Knitting and Lingerie Federation and the trade show organizer Comexposium, run 16 textile and fashion-related shows around the world, seven of which are dedicated to the lingerie and swimwear industry.

Two of the shows,  Salon International de la Lingerie (Fall-Winter Collections) and Mode City (Spring-Summer collections and swimwear), take place in January and July in Paris.

Interfiliere, the Fabric and Trimmings Show, runs simultaneously each January and July.

And, since 2005, EUROVET also has a few shows in Asia, Interfilière Hong-Kong and Interfilière Shanghai, held respectively in March and In October, and Shanghai Mode Lingerie.

“After Europe, and Asia, CURVExpo offers significant growth potential and provides an additional platform on the American continent to our international lingerie and swimwear community,” Bellon-Homps said.

Laurence Teinturier, co-founder and executive vice president of CURVExpo, added, "We are so thrilled with the developments of our relationship with EUROVET which will make available to our supporting partners, retailers and exhibitors alike such global and perfect show formats, on three continents, to shop the best brands, to showcase their collections and source their production. It is such an obvious move in our industry today."
