Gallin, Griffin Both Named to President Positions for MAGIC Market Week

Less than two weeks before Advanstar Global’s MAGIC Market Week kicks off at several venues around Las Vegas, two executives – Leslie Gallin and Christopher Griffin – have been upped to new positions.

Gallin has been named president of Footwear, Advanstar Global (including FN PLATFORM - MAGIC- Sole Commerce -WSA- PROJECTsole NYC).  She previously was vice president.

Prior to joining MAGIC, Gallin served as director of The Collections at World Shoe Association (WSA) & Sole Commerce (ENK International), where she created and managed all aspects of the Designer /Luxury Footwear & Accessories business for WSA/ENK. 

Griffin was named president of WWDMAGIC and SOURCING at MAGIC. He previously was vice president of both shows.

Griffin has been with MAGIC Market Week for seven years and has steadily risen in position. Prior to MAGIC, he owned a juniors sportswear line.

This year’s MAGIC Market Week will run Feb. 17-20 with events held at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

The August 2013 event spanned more than 1 million square feet, breaking that benchmark for the first time, and attracted 70,000-plus attendees and 6,000-plus exhibiting brands.
