Nominate NOW for IAEE’s 2017 International Excellence, Woman of Achievement Awards

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events has opened the Call for Nominations for its 2017 IAEE International Excellence and IAEE Woman of Achievement awards. The deadline for submitting nominations for these awards Feb. 19.

“These awards honor outstanding individuals who elevate the exhibitions and events industry by going above and beyond the call of duty on a very special level,” said IAEE President and CEO David DuBois, CMP, CAE, FASAE, CTA.

He added, “Our global presence is growing by leaps and bounds, and the International Excellence Award recognizes the contributions of IAEE members who are on the frontlines of expanding our international reach. The IAEE Woman of Achievement Award also recognizes a unique niche of professionals who continually strive to make exhibitions and events the great industry it is today.”

The IAEE International Excellence Award recognizes an organization whose exhibition has made exceptional strides in creating, launching and managing an international event in the exhibitions and events industry.

Qualifications for this award include, but are not limited to, demonstrating significant development and/or improvement in the following areas:

· Exhibitor and attendee growth at an international show(s);

· Expansion of education opportunities in a particular region;

· Industry advocacy across international borders; and/or

· Promotion of IAEE’s programs and presence on an international level.

The IAEE International Excellence Award will be presented during IMEX Frankfurt to be held May 16-18 in Frankfurt, Germany.

The IAEE Woman of Achievement Award recognizes a woman who has led the way in the advancement of women in the exhibitions and events industry, exhibited outstanding leadership, and made significant contributions to the industry and her community. The IAEE Woman of Achievement Award will be presented during the IAEE Women’s Leadership Forum to be held May 2 in Oxon Hill, Md.

The IAEE Awards Committee reviews nominations and discusses each candidate's qualifications in depth prior to recommending its selections to the IAEE Board of Directors. The final selections, chosen by the board, are based on merit.
