Oil & Gas Polymer Engineering Texas 2015
The new AMI international forum for oil and gas operators, contractors, equipment manufacturers, researchers and industry suppliers , Oil & Gas Polymer Engineering Texas 2015, is set for June 9-10 at the Hilton Houston Post Oak in Houston, Texas. This two-day program aims to examine the latest developments in the use of non-metallic materials in the harsh conditions of oil and gas drilling and transportation, including new challenges arising in unconventional gas reservoirs.
Thermoplastics, elastomers and composite materials supply unique properties for oilfield operations and are vital to the function and integrity of many structures including risers, cables, chemical and corrosion-resistant coatings in steel structures, pipelines, seals, composite platforms, pumps, zonal isolation technology, swellable packers and blow-out preventers. Standards committees have developed specifications to qualify the performance in many of these applications and testing and research are supplying critical insights to minimize risks and maximize reliability.
