1,500+ Booths at Global Sources’ Fashion Show

May 10, 2016

NASDAQ-listed Global Sources held its fashion sourcing show last week from 27th to 30th April at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE). More than 1,500 booths were featured at three concurrent events: Fashion Accessories & Footwear, Fashion Apparel & Fabrics, and Underwear & Swimwear.

President of the Global Sources Fashion Group, Livia Yip, commented, “With an eye on market trends, we strive to help buyers discover items that will be hot in the coming months. We also adapt the show to match demand for specific product categories. For instance, we have brought in a broader selection of footwear and functional fabrics this spring; the selection for bags and luggage has been increased by 50% from the previous show; and, to meet rising demand, the bags and luggage pavilion will become a standalone show in October 2016.”

Highlights at this year’s event included Young Designers Corner and Fashion Technology Corner which introduced new high-tech products to attendees and enabled industry players to meet and network. Other highlights included Footwear pavilion, Rising Designers Corner, ASEAN Select, Amazon Cross-Border Sellers Salon & Meetup, Analyst’s Choice, Trends Forum, and Fashion Parades.
