September 6, 2016

The Brisbane Boat Show was held from 19th to 21st August at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC). Displaying water craft and other accessories, more than 70 organisations covering boats and boat activities such as fishing, water skiing, wake boarding, personal water craft and canoeing are participating in the three-day show.

Representatives from Maritime Safety Queensland, Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA), Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, Queensland Water Police and the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard set-up a counter to educate visitors about boating and water safety.

Domenic Genua, National Manager of Events and Marketing for the Boating Industry Association and past President of the Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) stated, “Our move to BCEC was met with immediate approval from industry with more than half of the available space sold within 72 hours of releasing our show information. Before even opening the doors of the show we had already asked the team at BCEC to assist us with more space for next year’s show.”
