Global Sources Partners TradeIndia.com for Domestic Event
Global Sources has formed a new partnership in order to launch Machinery & Industrial Supplies Fair at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The event will be Global Sources first exhibition aimed at serving the Indian domestic market.
Targeting Indian buyers and suppliers, products categories at show will include conveyor belts, gear boxes and gear cutting products, engineering goods and equipment, fasteners, machinery, nuts and bolts, pumps and pumping equipment, testing and measuring equipment and valves. The organisers said they are expecting more than 200 exhibitors at the three-day event.
This will be Global Sources’ second domestically-focused trade show following the announcement in March of the inaugural Global Sourcing Fair: Sports & Leisure in Xiamen, China.
Tommy Wong, president of Global Sources Exhibitions, said, “This represents our entry into India's domestic market. We are pleased to be working with Tradeindia.com, the country’s largest online B2B marketplace and one of the country’s B2B leaders, to jointly host this event.”
Until recently, the opportunity to have a celebrity attend an event, attach themselves to a name-brand or endorse a certain product or idea was untouchable. The thought of paying a person to promote a product was seen as something only Fortune 500 companies could afford. Social media has changed all that with brands and businesses utilizing celebrity influencers to connect directly with their demographics and increase sales and profits.
