Messe Dsseldorf to Launch Shanghai Retail Fair in 2015

February 24, 2014

German exhibition organiser Messe Düsseldorf will further expand its reach in China with the launch of a new retail trade show, C-star, in Shanghai next year. The inaugural show will be held from 13th to 15th May 2015 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).

C-star is a spin-off event of the Düsseldorf-held EuroShop, and will be divided into four main exhibitor categories: Shop Fittings, Lighting, Refrigeration and Store Design; Retail Technology; Visual Merchandising and Marketing; and Exhibition Stand Construction. The show’s organisers will target to attract visitor groups from the retail, industry and services sectors.

Hans Werner Reinhard, deputy managing director of Messe Düsseldorf and chairman of Messe Düsseldorf China, commented, “With C-star we can contribute our vast expertise in the organisation of retail trade fairs. Moreover, as organisers, we know how to export established trade fair formats to China, having successfully done so with Chinaplas, All in Print China, Wire/Tube China and ProWine China. I am confident that C-star will provide internationally operating companies with an attractive trade fair platform that will facilitate their development on the Chinese growth market.”

And with over a thousand different-level attacks since 2015, it’s no surprise that safety and security are among the top concerns for event professionals.
