PHILCONSTRUCT Posts Strong Results

Philippines-based PHILCONSTRUCT was recently held in Manila. Filling three key venues (SMX Convention Center, World Trade Center Metro Manila, and the Philippine Trade Training Center), PHILCONSTRUCT attracted more than 1,500 exhibitors from dozens of countries including Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, China, Germany, Canada, the U.S. and the U.K.

Now in its 25th year, the construction exhibition attracted more than 75,000 trade visitors. Separate editions are also held in Cebu and Davao – each attracting just over 9,000 trade visitors. PHILCONSTRUCT also featured a forum that covered a range of topics including ASEAN integration in 2015, construction management, contracts administration, construction administration, and green building.

Manolito Madrasto, general manager of Philconstruct Events and executive director of Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. said, “A host of opportunities await the entire industry as we go towards the ASEAN economic integration in 2015. Our local construction giants are preparing to undertake foreign projects in this free-trade market and PHILCONSTRUCT is ready to take its place as the meeting venue for all stakeholders in the country and the rest of Asia.”
