60 New Stage Vendors Book Space at United States Institute for Theatre Technology 2015

February 16, 2015

USITT 2015, which is run by the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, is on tap in Cincinnati and now boasts a record 280 exhibitors – including 60 new ones.

USITT Stage Expo Manager Ron Procopio says he is excited to welcome so many companies new or returning after years away to the 55th Annual Conference & Stage Expo.

The event will fill some 45,000 square feet of Cincinnati’s Duke Energy Convention Center March 19-21.

“As the industry and economy changes, so does USITT’s Stage Expo floor,” Procopio said. “So, besides our huge showing of big industry names, we’re attracting new exhibitors and new opportunities for attendees to see what our industry has to offer.”

New exhibitors include Carnival, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean Cruise lines, Backdrops Fantastic and Theatreworld Backdrops, DPA Microphones and Kenwood USA, and several theatre companies and university theatre departments.

Procopio said there were new sponsors for several facets of USITT 2015:

  • ACT Lighting will sponsor onsite Registration in the Duke Center lobby, welcoming attendees to the Conference.
  • H&H Specialties  will sponsor a networking lounge where Conference attendees can relax, recharge their devices, and connect with friends.
  • UK special effects company Le Maitre Ltd  will underwrite onsite Wi-Fi at the Duke Center.

USITT, the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, expects more than 5,000 people from the entertainment design and technology industry to participate in its biggest event of the year.

USITT 2015 features 200-plus educational sessions, inspiration from award winners, including Costume Designer Jane Greenwood, TCG’s Teresa Eyring and Scenic Designer Douglas W. Schmidt, costume and stage backdrop exhibits and awards and competitions.
